A leading Wath based printing company invited Rawmarsh and Conisbrough MP, John Healey, to view their new rooftop solar panels which are set to help the firm provide over a quarter of their electricity.

Bluetree Group is the UK’s largest online printing business and is now a leading light in rooftop solar after installing an array of solar panels on the roof of its building in Manvers.

The company is keen to offer advice and support to local companies that might also be looking to install their own rooftop solar panels to help supply energy.

Rawmarsh and Conisbrough MP, John Healey, said:

“I’m pleased to see that Bluetree is making use of its rooftop to help provide energy for the company through solar panels.

“Rooftop solar panels have an important part to play in our mission for clean power across the UK and to move away from our dependence on fossil fuels.

“There is so much potential in rooftop solar installation on warehouses and industrial sectors locally and across the country and the offer from Bluetree to help other businesses that would like to explore this option is great to see.”

Bluetree Co-CEO, Adam Carnell, said:

“We’re particularly proud of our rooftop solar installation, so it was great to discuss the positive impact it’s having both environmentally and operationally with John during his visit.

“With the potential financial and environmental benefits, it’s certainly a wise and worthwhile investment for a business like ourselves. As a company we are forward thinking and improving our carbon footprint has been a priority for us for quite some time.

“The new panels help us with this, producing around 20% of our own electricity, and we’d welcome any opportunity to collaborate or share our experience with any other companies that may need help when looking at how to install their own panels to help with their energy needs.”
