John Healey, MP for Rawmarsh and Conisbrough, will take part in a virtual funding workshop, with Postcode Lottery, for local charities, volunteer organisations, and community groups in the area. The session will give good causes in John’s constituency advice on how they can apply for funds to make a difference in their community.
The live Zoom event takes place on the 4th September at 9:30am
Communities in postcodes across the UK are winning thanks to players of Postcode Lottery.
To date, players of Postcode Lottery have raised over £1.8 billion for good causes and are now raising over £19 million a month for thousands of charities, covering every constituency in the country.
In 2026, grassroots good causes will once again have the opportunity to apply for funding.
Over £281,00 raised by Postcode Lottery players has already made a difference to many small, local good causes in Rawmarsh and Conisbrough.
John Healey MP said:
“I am delighted to co-host this funding workshop with Postcode Lottery to provide local charities with the information they need to access funding.
“I know there are many good causes in my constituency that would greatly benefit from additional funding, and I encourage them to attend the workshop to learn more about the opportunities available to them.
“It is of course thanks to the players of Postcode Lottery that these funds are available, and I am grateful for their continued support.”
Head of Public Affairs at Postcode Lottery, Nick Cook, added:
“The money raised by players of Postcode Lottery is making a huge difference in communities across the country. We want to do as much as we can to help local charities and good causes successfully apply, particularly at a time when many are losing out on essential funds.
“Our free virtual workshop is a useful opportunity forsmaller, local charities to find out about the funding available, get advice on applying and ask us any questions they may have.”
