Places still left at kids’ summer camp

MP John Healey is encouraging youngsters to get active during the holidays by taking part in a summer camp in Rawmarsh.

Pops Summer Camp, of which Mr Healey is a director, is running three, three-day camps on August 6th-8th, August 13th-15th and August 20th-22nd.

There are still places left for the forthcoming weeks.

The sessions are for six to 16-year-olds and will be offering activities including:

• Adventure trails

• Arts and crafts

• Map reading and tracking

• Survival skills

• Learning about the area we live in

• Nature study

• Outdoor cooking

• Pond sipping

• Secret spy

• Shelter building

• Healthy living

• Confidence building

• Teamwork challenges

• Metal casting

• Clay model work

• Sports and games

The sessions are at Rosehill Park and cost £5 per child per day.
