Wentworth and Dearne MP John Healey paid a visit to Wath Victoria Primary School for science week.

While he was there John witnessed some fantastic experiments from students that were involved in the egg drop project.

The aim was for youngsters to design a contraption using various materials that can protect a raw egg from a high fall.

As well as seeing the project in full swing, John sat and talked with pupils on the school’s student and sports councils.

John said: “It was great to see the pupils’ ingenuity and enthusiasm in the egg drop experiment, and staff put in a lot of hard work throughout Science Week.

The youngsters were also full of ideas when it came to our discussion about democracy and the work of the school councils. They’re all a great credit to the school.”
