Local Historian, Douglas (Dug) Wydell, has launched his new book Bygone Business of West Melton & Wath-on-Dearne. The book celebrates the shops, businesses and people that have shaped Wath over the years.
Dug has brought together a collection of old advertisements and invoices to tell the story of Wath’s business and the people behind them. The book captures a part of Wath’s past, preserving memories of people, places and business that have helped shape the town and its community.
John Healey MP recently met with Dug to hear more about his book and the stories behind the records he has collected.
