Wentworth and Dearne MP John Healey has hailed the work of staff at Rotherham Jobcentre after almost 1200 people turned out for the centre’s Jobsfair.

There were over 30 employers and 1500 jobs on show at the event on Douglas Street as well as seven training providers, four of which were offering apprenticeships and traineeships.

John said: “It was good to see local businesses and job centre staff coming together to provide an excellent event for those looking for work. A large number of employers were on hand to showcase the jobs they had to offer.

Four job offers were received on the day with the potential for this to rise as the centre waits to hear back from employers that were at the event”
