Tesco in Wath-upon-Dearne welcomed John Healey MP and local schools who have received new equipment through the supermarket’s vouchers scheme.
Swinton Fitzwilliam Infant, Wath C of E, Our Lady & St Joseph’s and Wath Victoria primary schools were invited to the presentation today.
The schools have received IT, sport and outdoor equipment thanks to local shoppers who have collected and donated vouchers.
Last year more than 440,000 pieces of equipment worth £9.3m were given to schools and clubs around the country through the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme, which is now in its 21st year.
