John Healey MP urges people to join the world’s biggest coffee morning

Local MP John Healey is encouraging people to join the world’s biggest coffee morning on Friday 28th September to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and help people in South Yorkshire living with cancer.

The coffee morning will take place at the constituency office of John Healey MP, 79 High Street, Wath upon Dearne on Friday 28th September between 10am and 12 noon. There will be various stalls selling bric-a-brac, books and fancy goods and a raffle. All sales will help to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in South Yorkshire.

Sarah Teal, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support said:

“We are delighted that John is supporting us again and we are looking forward to raising even more money for people living locally with cancer and their families.”

Commenting on the annual event Mr Healey said:

“Many people have personal experience of the impact that being dianosed with cancer has, not just on the individual but also their friends and family. Holding a coffee morning is just one simple way to help raise money to support local people living with cancer. Everyone is welcome to come along for a coffee and I will be running my usual advice surgery for the first hour, so if you want to call in and speak to me about an issue of concern during this time please do so.”

To find out more or to book a private meeting with Mr Healey between 10am and 11am during the Coffee Morning, please telephone his constituency office on (01709) 875943.
