MP ON HUNT FOR AREA’S BEST CURRY
John Healey is asking curry-lovers in the Wentworth constituency to name their favourite south Asian restaurant.
The MP will then put forward the most popular as his nomination for Parliament’s prestigious annual Tiffin Cup competition.
After nominations are in, 10 entrants will be short-listed and invited to a special cook-in in London.
The cup is awarded every year by the Tiffin Club of MPs, formed in 2006 by MPs Keith Vaz, John Barrett and Michael Fabricant. Last year’s winner was Mint and Mustard of the Cardiff North constituency.
This year the event will raise money for a charity in India.
To name your favourite, email healeyj@parliament.uk giving the restaurant’s name, address, telephone number and a contact name. Your message should include no more than 100 words explaining what makes the establishment so great and have the words “Tiffin Cup” in the subject line.
Nominations should be in by April 24.
